The story “The Blue Sky” was originally written as a speculative flash fiction and first published in Open Salon in 2010. Prophetically and fearfully within the span of a mere ten years it has become almost a reality giving a glimpse of how fast the future is becoming present. It seems that there is a race between the approaching ecological singularity and technological singularity to end human dominance on this planet. The story is here presented as an experimental piece where it runs as subtitles over a set of apparently unrelated moving images. It may not be very convenient for reading but that is how we perceive reality without the help of any artificial static background. This combination of written words and video as a text brings a conceptual notion out of incumbency.
