Nivedita Dey
Reptilian love
coils around my windpipe demanding
oxygen for herself. I cough up
venomous poetry. Borrowing deep
inside me, she lays her eggs
of hate, hissing jealousy
spreading her legs wide
over my better judgment, her greedy mouth
lying, wide open
gobbling up my fairy heart
her love, a goblin of a kind
in the hour of my inversion,
Christ be my savior!
she, my Geraldine.
