One Poem by Laura Dennis

Nothing to See Here

rushing to the office

cold dark November morning

my skin tingling

going by the boring brown wall

it is always the same

trash heaped against it

lunch time

rushing past the same

boring brown wall

it is always the same…..

wait no……

a blue and red umbrella

opened to block the view

lonely corner

now occupied

the fabric of the umbrella

rippling in the chilly breeze

a small stuffed toy

peeks out at the office workers

I hurry on my way.

Nothing to see here.
